I will be teaching you the essential aspects of promotion in MoM.
At the end of the training, there will be a test.
So please pay attention and take notes if you need to.
Let’s discuss the rules you need to follow when promoting someone.
Only members ranked 3rd Yr Arithmancy I and above can promote.
You can only promote someone who is one year or division lower than you.
Members can NOT promote someone within their own year or division.
Make sure that the person you are promoting is filling a station. (except FTB!)
The minimum online time to promote and be eligible for promotion is 10 mins.
You can promote the same person only 2 times in a row.
This means that their 3rd promoter must be someone else other than you.
Exceptions can be made if nobody else in base can promote.
When promoting someone to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 7th Yr the promoter must train the user.
If you are not available to train, you must NOT promote them.
Once you log the promotion, take them to a training room.
Ensure that you logged the training separately on portal.

you must inform the promoter of their mistake.
If the promoter still insists on proceeding with the promotion,
you can make a complaint to the Magical Law Enforcement department,
or you can submit a ticket under #ticket-system on the MoM Discord.

Great! Moving onto the specifics of promoting someone.
In order to promote somebody, log into the portal and click
the “Promote” tab under the side menu.
Under “Eligible Promotions”, search for the user’s name and click the “Promote” button.
Ensure that the new rank is correct, enter the reason, and click “Promote”.
Ensure that both of you have been filling stations for at least 10 minutes.
Before conducting the promotion, you must stand one tile behind the person you wish to promote.
Next, call “ATT” out loud in base and greet them with a wave.
Wait for the person you are promoting to stand in front of you and wave.
Congratulate them for getting a promotion, provide a reason for promoting them.
Lastly, use the following format to give their new motto.
If Muggle: [MoM] New Rank [promoter’s tag]
If 2nd Yr+: [MoM] New Rank [promoter’s tag] [promotee’s tag]
You may also copy and paste the motto from the portal.
Ensure they have the correct motto afterwards.
After you log their promotion, say “AE” to allow them to get back to work.
