Introducing Galleons

Galleons are the pay currency used in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Here at the Ministry, you can earn Galleons by completing various tasks.

2 (TWO) Galleons are equivalent to 1 (ONE) Habbo Credit or 1 (ONE) Galleon is equivalent to 1 (ONE) Habbo Credit if they are used to buy a rank. 

To be able to earn Galleons, you will need to:

  1. Be a member of the Ministry.
  2. Have a verified account on MoM Portal.
  3. Complete tasks and post under the #galleons-vouchers channel.

Pay Rules

1 – The station priority rule is to be followed at ALL times.

2 – Only 5iC+ members (excluding S.P.E.W. members) and Pay Team members who are ACTIVE in base for a minimum of 60 minutes are eligible to vouch for another member.

3 – Galleons are non-transferable to another member.

4 – Galleons are reset at the end of every month.

5 – Ministry members are allowed to claim 100 (ONE HUNDRED) Galleons per day. There will be no limit for Galleon conversion to ranks.

6 – Members can convert their Galleons for a rank purchase at a rate of 1 (ONE) Galleon to 1 (ONE) Habbo Credits. This will be logged as a rank sale.

7 – Members filling stations for more than 1 (ONE) hour, are to post a vouch at the end of every hour.

8 – Members are to ensure that their own vouch is correct and reacted by their voucher (if applicable). If there are no reactions from your voucher it will be deemed as invalid.

9 – Pay can be claimed anytime. If your request has not been processed after 24 hours, you can tag @Pay Team in #Miscellaneous-requests if you have reached the minimum requirements. (Please do not tag if you have not waited 24 hours after you claimed on portal)

10 – When members leave the Ministry, any unclaimed Galleons in the portal will be removed.

11 – When a member is bopped/teleported to FTB, or leaves to FTB/AFK seats, their hour resets.

Daily task (FTF):
  1. If you have filled stations for 1 hour, you must seek a 5iC+ member (excluding S.P.E.W. members) or any Pay Team member to vouch for you.
  2. In addition to your voucher, you must also provide a screenshot of
    – your avatar in base filling a station
    – your online time
    – your PC’s timestamp (including date & time)
  3. The time on your screenshot should not be longer than 5 minutes from the time that you post your vouch on Discord.
  4. For members on Modern/Mobile client, additional requirement:
    – screenshot of profile on Habbo portal
    – screenshot of current date/time (for mobile users)
  5. If you disconnected anytime while you are fulfilling your task, please provide a screenshot of DC-proof and upload it in #dc-proof (including PC’s timestamp) and include it in your vouch.
 
Monthly tasks (Promotion/Training/Tour):
  1. Please note that only promotions/trainings within the same month (according to EDT) count towards your vouches.
  2. You do not need to post your promotions/trainings/tours as they are automatically added to your Galleon total on portal.

How to post vouches for paused hour (event participation):

You are allowed to pause your hour to participate in events hosted/ co-hosted by DMGD (EA) only.


In order for your vouch to be valid, it must consist of the following:
Vouch 1 — the first part of your hour before event
Vouch 2 — to show that you were at the event, vouched by the event iC
Vouch 3 — the second part of your hour, linking vouch 1 and vouch 2

  1. You need to have a minimum of 10 Galleons logged on your MoM Portal account. 
  2. A payer will be notified as soon as you request to claim pay on portal. If you have not been paid within 24 hours of claiming, tag @Pay Team and they will meet you in base to transfer your Galleons into Habbo Credits. Allow payers 24 hours to contact you before tagging them again. 
  3. You can convert up to 50c daily. 
Converting Galleons into Habbo Credits on portal:

2 – Select “Pay/Promote” on the left column

3 – Input the amount of Galleons to claim (10-100)

4 – Select “Send Pay Request”

Converting Galleons into Ranks:
  1. Tag @Pay Team iC or @Foundation to convert Galleons into Rank purchase
  2. If you claim an odd number of galleons, it will be rounded down to the nearest whole number (e.g. 25 galleons claimed = 12 habbo credits)

What is a goblin’s cut?

It is a pay reduction for 1 week. Members are responsible for remaining responsive while in base. If a member chooses to tab out of Habbo, they accept the risk of receiving a goblin’s cut. When do you get a goblin’s cut?
  • Idling on Stations
    • Members who do not respond after idling for at least 3 minutes.
  • Not Responding While on Station
    • Members who do not respond to AFK Checks within 3 minutes.
  • Not Flicking Goblin’s Choice Switch
    • Members who do not flick the switch within 3 minutes.
